Curious, were these done with a Namiki and ink wash? Or is that watercolor. I especially love the bold ink look of the top one and I was just wondering how it was achieved. Very inspirational!!!

Kendra, the original sketch is about seven inches across. I used a Namiki Falcon SF for the line work and two of those squeezey bodied Japanese brush pens, made by Kuretake Co., that you can fill with your own ink. One is about the equivalent size of a number 5 brush, filled with the same ink as the pen, and the other is a three eighths or half inch flat, filled with a half tone of the same ink.
